World Leaders Send Heartfelt Messages on Pakistanâs 79th Independence Day
ISLAMABAD â Pakistan marked its 79th Independence Day with a wave of congratulations from global leaders, diplomats, and lawmakers, underscoring the countryâs diplomatic significance and longstanding friendships across the world.
The celebrations began at dawn with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salutes in each provincial capital. Special prayers were offered in mosques nationwide for peace, prosperity, and unity.
United States Extends Warm Wishes
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Pakistan, praising the countryâs cooperation on counterterrorism and trade. He expressed optimism about expanding partnerships in critical minerals, hydrocarbons, and other economic sectors.
