World Leaders Send Heartfelt Messages on Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan marked its 79th Independence Day with a wave of congratulations from global leaders, diplomats, and lawmakers, underscoring the country’s diplomatic significance and longstanding friendships across the world.

The celebrations began at dawn with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salutes in each provincial capital. Special prayers were offered in mosques nationwide for peace, prosperity, and unity.

United States Extends Warm Wishes

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Pakistan, praising the country’s cooperation on counterterrorism and trade. He expressed optimism about expanding partnerships in critical minerals, hydrocarbons, and other economic sectors.

The US State Department’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs also wished Pakistan well, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening people-to-people ties.

China Reaffirms ‘Ironclad Friendship’

The Chinese Embassy in Islamabad sent its “warmest congratulations” and wished for Pakistan’s continued prosperity, emphasizing the unshakable China–Pakistan friendship.

Russia Highlights Pakistan’s Achievements

The Russian Embassy praised Pakistan’s progress in international diplomacy and even space exploration. The message honored the vision of Pakistan’s founders and wished the nation success and well-being.
