Three Accused of Kidnapping and Torturing Bus Driver in Lahore
Lahore, August 19, 2025 — Police in Manga Mandi have filed a case against a young woman and two men for allegedly abducting and assaulting a bus driver after accusing him of stealing her mobile phone.
According to officials, the incident came to light after a disturbing video circulated on social media, showing the woman striking the victim, identified as Hamid, with a club while dragging him as he pleaded for help.
FIR Registered on Victim’s Complaint
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged following a complaint by Hamid, a middle-aged bus driver. In his statement, he explained that he had borrowed Rs8,500 from the woman and went to her home on Monday to return the amount. Later that day, while he was at work, the woman allegedly called him and accused him of stealing her mobile phone during his visit.
Shortly after, Hamid claims, the woman arrived with two male accomplices, forcibly took him to her residence, and locked him inside a room. The trio allegedly subjected him to severe physical abuse, recorded a video of the torture, and later uploaded it online.
Victim’s Escape and Police Action
Hamid told police that the suspects threatened to return and punish him further over the alleged theft. He managed to escape from their house and rushed to the police station to file his complaint.
A police spokesperson confirmed that a case has been registered, and a special team has been assigned to track down and arrest the suspects.
