Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is continuing her high-profile visit to Japan with a series of important meetings and institutional visits on the second day of her official tour. Her engagements highlight a strong focus on health cooperation, trade expansion, and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Japan.

Focus on Health and Medical Cooperation

Maryam Nawaz is scheduled to visit the National Center for Global Health and Medicine as well as the Japan Institute of Health Security. Both visits are aimed at exploring joint initiatives in public health, emergency response, and medical research collaboration, reflecting Punjab’s growing interest in adopting advanced healthcare models.

Strengthening Trade and Investment Partnerships

The Chief Minister will also head to the headquarters of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), where she is expected to hold talks on trade diversification, investment opportunities, and industrial growth in Punjab.
