Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Visit Pakistan on Thursday

China’s Foreign Minister and senior Politburo member, Wang Yi, is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Thursday for a two-day official visit. During his stay, he will co-chair the 6th Pakistan-China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad.
The visit comes at the invitation of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. It is part of the ongoing series of high-level diplomatic engagements between Islamabad and Beijing, aimed at strengthening their “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.”
According to diplomatic sources, discussions will cover a wide range of areas, including political cooperation, trade and investment opportunities, and regional peace and security. Both sides are also expected to reaffirm their support for each other’s core national interests.
The visit underscores the growing momentum in Pakistan-China relations, especially in the context of economic collaboration, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and broader regional development goals. It also highlights the two countries’ shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in South Asia and beyond.
